Tracey Alston, CEO
Tracey Alston is the founder of Danielle Ashley Group, a full-service marketing agency that has served as a partner for Fortune 500 companies, government, political, faith-based and non-profit organizations. She also is the pioneer of the Black History Resource Guide, which is the only national fundraiser that provides annual revenues to HBCUs –$300,000 to date from Walgreens sales.
Tracey has 14 years of radio management experience and was responsible for a 70 percent increase in sales at WBEE-AM. She later became one of the nation’s youngest women to own a radio station.
Tracey is the recipient of numerous awards for her work as national sales manager for Johnson Publishing Company’s broadcast division, and in fact was responsible for bringing the Rap music format to Chicago radio via WJPC-AM. She also has received various business management and community service honors. Tracey and her husband Marcus Alston are the proud parents of three daughters. Her professional/civic affiliations include Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Links, Inc., Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, League of Black Women, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and the Media Ministry at Salem Baptist Church.
